VoucherSnap Data Subject Rights Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
VoucherSnap respects the privacy rights of people who use the app. This Data Subject Rights Policy explains what rights you may have in relation to personal information processed by VoucherSnap and how you can exercise those rights.
This policy should be read together with the VoucherSnap Privacy Policy.
1. Contact
For privacy or data subject rights requests, contact support@mangezi.xyz. Please include "VoucherSnap Data Subject Request" in the subject line so the request can be identified quickly.
2. What personal information VoucherSnap processes
VoucherSnap is designed to process voucher information primarily on your device. We do not operate a central backend that collects your scanned voucher PINs, contact list, scanned voucher images, or scan history.
Depending on the features you use, VoucherSnap may process:
- Camera input, to scan printed vouchers.
- Voucher PINs and scan history, stored locally on your device.
- Mobile network or carrier selection information, where supported, to help prepare the correct recharge action.
- Contact names and phone numbers, only when you choose a Contacts-based feature such as sharing or Call Me Back.
- Clipboard content, only when you choose to paste or copy voucher-related text.
- Support emails or messages you send to us.
VoucherSnap does not sell personal information and does not upload your contact list, scanned voucher images, scanned voucher PINs, or voucher history to our servers.
VoucherSnap does not require a user account, and we do not maintain a central account profile for app users.
3. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal information is processed.
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you.
- Request access to personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Request deletion, destruction, or de-identification of personal information, where applicable.
- Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.
- Object to certain processing, where applicable.
- Request restriction of processing, where applicable.
- Request a portable copy of personal information you provided, where applicable.
- Not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
- Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority, including the Information Regulator in South Africa where applicable.
Some rights may not apply in every situation. For example, because VoucherSnap keeps scan history locally on your device and does not operate a central user account database, we may not be able to access, export, correct, delete, or destroy information that exists only on your phone.
4. How to exercise your rights
You can manage much of your VoucherSnap data directly on your device:
- Clear voucher history inside the app, if that option is available in your version.
- Clear app data in your device settings.
- Revoke permissions such as Camera, Phone, or Contacts in your device settings.
- Delete local app data by uninstalling VoucherSnap, subject to your device backup settings.
You can also email a request to support@mangezi.xyz.
Please include your name, the email address you want us to use for the reply, the country or region you are contacting from, the right you want to exercise, and enough detail for us to understand the request.
Do not send voucher PINs, contact lists, identity documents, or other sensitive information unless we specifically ask for it.
If your request relates only to information stored locally on your device, we may not be able to access or change that information remotely. In that case, we will explain the practical steps you can take on your device.
5. Identity verification
We may ask for reasonable information to confirm that the request comes from the data subject or a person authorized to act on their behalf. We will only ask for information that is necessary for verification and handling the request.
6. Response time
We aim to respond to data subject rights requests within a reasonable time and, where applicable law requires a specific period, within that required period. Where a one-month response period applies, we aim to respond within one month.
If a request is complex, unclear, or requires more information to verify or process it, we may explain the delay and respond within the extended period allowed by applicable law.
7. Requests about local device data
Most VoucherSnap app data is stored locally on your device. This means some information may exist only on your physical phone and not on systems that we can access.
If your request concerns data we cannot access because it is stored only on your phone, we will explain this and provide practical steps you can take on your device, such as clearing history, clearing app data, revoking permissions, disabling device backups where relevant, or uninstalling the app.
Because VoucherSnap does not operate a central user account database, we may not be able to access, export, correct, delete, or destroy data that is stored only on your device.
8. Support correspondence
If you contact us by email or another support channel, we may process the information you provide so we can respond to your request, keep a record of the request, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use support correspondence for advertising.
If you email us, we may only be able to respond about information contained in that email, related support messages, or other information you directly provided to us.
9. Children
VoucherSnap is not directed to children under 13. Where local law treats a child as a person under a higher age, including under 18, we will handle requests involving children according to the applicable local law.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will review the request.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date.
